The Erasmus programme varies between 1 to 2 semesters (6 to 12 months) in each study cycle.
No, in the Erasmus programme you only pay the tuition fees of your home university.
After registering at U.Porto, you must access your profile on SIGARRA and on your page access your current account.
You should contact the International Office of the central services of the University of Porto by email (international@reit.up.pt).
The Social Services of the University of Porto (SASUP) have some university residences and some are reserved annually for students who attend the U. Porto under mobility programmes and protocols. If you are interested in applying for this accommodation, we suggest that you check the conditions through SASUP.
FEP has different partnerships with university residences, with advantageous conditions for FEP students. You can obtain more information here.
If you want to look for accommodation on your own, you might consider the Housing Anywhere and Uniplaces platforms, which are reliable and have good options.
The search for accommodation, whether in University of Porto Halls of Residence or in private accommodation, is the student's responsibility. FEP has no responsibility in the management of this need.
The main source of FEP support on procedural issues is the School's reception services via e-mail (erasmus_in@fep.up.pt). In addition, you can also get support through Linking Students, who promote various activities that encourage integration among international students and the FEP Buddy Programme, where you will have a national student who can help you in your adaptation process.
Classes can be taught in either Portuguese or English. In the degree programmes, there are a restricted number of classes taught in English, which are usually the choice of Erasmus students. FEP has five Master's programmes fully taught in English and the two PhD programmes - PhD in Business and Management Studies and PhD in Economics - also taught in English.

If you only want an occasional travel pass, you can get it from any metro station in Porto, with no need for anything other than the money for the pass and your trip.
If you are interested in a monthly travel pass, which turns out to be financially more advantageous if you use public transport frequently, you have to go to an Andante Shop or STCP counter and take your Passport or Residence Visa and a passport photo with you. The Andante Sub23 gives you a discount for being a college student under 23 years old.
The Andante store closest to the School of Economics and Management (FEP) is located at Hospital São João Metro Station.
If you have less than 23 years old we suggest you to bring the Andante Sub23, for that you must bring, besides the ID document and photo, the Andante Sub23 document. The Pass document sub23@superior.tp, due to the pandemic, is obtained in the FEP website, accessing to "Certificates" ("New Request").
Each School has teams for certain sports, should you wish to play sports at competition level. However, you can consult the website of the Sports Centre of the University of Porto (CDUP) which shows and explains the different sports activities that take place at UPorto.

There is no direct correspondence between local grades and ECTS grades. ECTS grades are calculated on the basis of a three-year sample of grade records for a specific programme. This means that, for a given course unit, all the results obtained by the students in that course unit are organised, ordered and defined in ranges respecting the percentages of 10% lowest, 25%, 30%, 25% and 10% best students, corresponding to ECTS grades E, D, C, B and A, respectively.
There will be a record of “RFE – Reprovado por falta de comparência (FAIL – Absence of Examination)”
